April 2010

Such a sweet kid.
There's a game on tonight? Sweet!
Lakers better watch out!
Peek-a-boo Mommy!
Hi. You want more pictures?
You gotta catch me first!
Looking cute at the park.
Goofy face
Loves to spin that wheel.
Swingin'

Spring is here, and the rain has died down a bit. We've been spending a lot more time outdoors. Cameron really enjoys going to the park and for walks with us.

Random Thoughts

I feel like every day is lasting a week lately. I want to know so badly if we'll be moving home this year or not. May seems like so far away.

Cameron is a bottomless pit today. All day long he's been chanting "num num, num num (whines) nuuuuum nuuuuuuuuum!" I'm glad he's eating but I wish he had more of an appetite for veggies. I managed to get one jar of veggies in him today. That's a challenge. All he'll eat is pureed veggies right now. I want teething to be done with for good. I want him to just chew the food up and eat it, instead of him spitting out anything that isn't a favorite that must be chewed.

I took him to the indoor playground at Burger King since I can't take him to the soggy park. We've had an exceptional amount of rain this week. Actually, for the past few weeks. He had fun.

Right now he's practicing walking on uneven surfaces over and over. He's doing really well.

I can't wait till he can really ask me for what he wants. The whining is hard for me to put up with but he's trying. Right now he can say (on a regular basis) Mama, Dada, num-num, more, no, don't, ewww, hi, mouth, nose and he says uhhh for "up".

He's really liking books right now, which is usually fun. Until he fixates on one book over and over. Sometimes I have to hide them for a bit till he moves on to something else.

I have my first OB appointment next week. I am really happy to finally be able to go. I wish I'd actually get to see a Dr. but I'll only be getting to speak with a nurse and getting pamphlets this time.

I miss my family and all this talk about going home had stirred up some homesickness. I can usually avoid feeling this way but I have kind of gotten my hopes up now, which may be a mistake. I will be so sad if we end up staying in for the duration of his contract.

Well Cammy's turning on the water works for apparently no reason, which means it's bed time. Good-bye for now.

Pictures From Casey's Visit

First thing on our list was to get some REAL sushi, cuz they don't make it right in Texas, haha.
It's not their fault, location, location, location.

It's beautiful here even on very cloudy days.

I love how these pictures came out. Seconds after taking my pictures it started
pouring buckets on us. It was worth it.

We ended up at a beach in Kaneohe at the Marine Corps Base.

It was a dangerous day to be in the water, we actually banned from going in.

Beach Baby!

Cameron really enjoying the sand for the first time.

Casey, Cameron, and Me at Ala Moana for lunch @ Ramano's Macaroni Grill.
Cameron was being a pill and we had to leave the restaurant early.

My sweetheart on his 33rd birthday.

Shon's birthday dinner at Casablanca's

It was a wonderful visit and I hope that our next one won't be two years from now because that's too long.

1st Haircut!

At home before leaving to get his haircut. Look at those chompers!

At the barber waiting our turn. He looks a bit scared.

His hair is a mess.

Oh the anticipation. The horror. I felt bad but I had to laugh a little.

Consolation prize? A dum dum sucker.

Fighting off barbers will give you a healthy glow.

Waiting for his burger.

He looks so much older now.

Cameron has really really really needed a haircut for a while and Shon finally decided he could part with Cam's baby hair. So we went to the PX and got him taken care of.

He's a great climber!

We went to the park today to tire Cammy out before the opening ceremony for the Olympics starts. He had lots of fun climbing and even made a new friend.

Cam and Shon Clowning Around

This was too cute not to share. My two favorite guys were cracking each other up tonight. :)

Lovin the Park

We've been visiting the park a lot more lately and now Cameron is able to really enjoy the play structures. Before all we really did was swing. Now he can climb all the way up to the big slide all by himself. Well, without my help, but I'm right beside him, haha. He thinks it's the best when I go down the slide with him because it's a lot faster. He loves to be around the other kids and out in the sunshine. I'm having fun too!
