I'm sorry it has been so long since I last posted a new blog. Life turned out to be really crazy since my last post. Cameron and I went home to Oregon to have the baby. Shon made it home right before I was due. I was due on October 28th, 2010 and that is the day Jack was born! I woke up early feeling terrible and I decided to climb back in bed to cry about it and cuddle with Shon. Just then my water broke, 7:30 AM on the dot. We called my mom to come get us and started getting ready to go. Contractions started soon, but they were pretty mild. Leah took Cameron for us. Mom got there by 8 AM, but it seemed like an eternity and my contractions were becoming painful. It was morning rush hour and we had to turn around and take country roads to the hospital. This was a good idea in theory, but the bumps in the road were not kind to me. We arrived at the hospital by 8:30. The doctor was not in, she was rushing in early to work for me but there was traffic. The doctor on call wanted to go perform a c-section for another mother, but I was protesting that I could have the baby very soon. Thankfully Dr. Olds arrived in plenty of time. Shon and Mom were very helpful and supportive and I fell in love with my nurse Jeri. I hated the nurse who was putting in my IV and I was not the nicest pregnant lady she dealt with that day. I don't like being stabbed repeatedly in my arm and hands when I am in the middle of contractions, who knew?! Once the IV was installed I just tried to stay comfortable. As long as I was not lying in bed it was bearable. I had time to put on a playlist and set up some flame-less candles for atmosphere. It wasn't long before it was time to push. Jack was born quickly at 10:30 on the dot, exactly 3 hours from my water breaking. He weighed 8lbs 4oz and his full name is Jack Emrys Webber. He had a head full of dark curls and was so handsome. It was so nice to have Mom and Shon there. I felt really great after a little bit. We had so many visitors, such a dramatic difference from having Cameron in Hawaii. I really felt like this time around I got the birth I wanted. Shon spent about 3 weeks in Oregon before he had to get back to work. I stayed in Oregon till Jack was about 6 weeks old. Leah helped us get back on the plane and got to visit us in Hawaii for a bit, which was very fun. Just like old times plus two rugrats. :) After Leah left I had to get used to handling both boys on my own when Shon was working. That was an adventure but things feel routine now and not so hard. The boys are growing so fast and they miss all you Oregonians, but skype helps. I will try to post more often now that Jack is sleeping through the night I feel like I can accomplish more things. I still have even more pictures to share from our trip to Oregon, if you can believe that! Plus many videos, but I need to go to bed so I'll have to cut this one short for now.

It's a.....

Surprise! Ha, gotcha. We held out and didn't find out the gender at the ultrasound today. Everything went well, baby #2 looks totally healthy and stubborn. The ultrasound tech was having a real hard time taking measurements with baby's hand in the way and head in the wrong position. It was nice to have an ultrasound with only good news. :) October will be here before we know it.

My Little Comedian

Me: "I love you."
Cameron: "I know."

We both laughed till we had tears in our eyes, me because it was priceless, and him because he can't resist laughing when we do. A few minutes later I thought I'd see if he'd do it again. He did. :D I know he had no idea what he was saying, at least I think....But it's the little things that make it all worth it.

Spring is here, and the rain has died down a bit. We've been spending a lot more time outdoors. Cameron really enjoys going to the park and for walks with us.

Random Thoughts

I feel like every day is lasting a week lately. I want to know so badly if we'll be moving home this year or not. May seems like so far away.

Cameron is a bottomless pit today. All day long he's been chanting "num num, num num (whines) nuuuuum nuuuuuuuuum!" I'm glad he's eating but I wish he had more of an appetite for veggies. I managed to get one jar of veggies in him today. That's a challenge. All he'll eat is pureed veggies right now. I want teething to be done with for good. I want him to just chew the food up and eat it, instead of him spitting out anything that isn't a favorite that must be chewed.

I took him to the indoor playground at Burger King since I can't take him to the soggy park. We've had an exceptional amount of rain this week. Actually, for the past few weeks. He had fun.

Right now he's practicing walking on uneven surfaces over and over. He's doing really well.

I can't wait till he can really ask me for what he wants. The whining is hard for me to put up with but he's trying. Right now he can say (on a regular basis) Mama, Dada, num-num, more, no, don't, ewww, hi, mouth, nose and he says uhhh for "up".

He's really liking books right now, which is usually fun. Until he fixates on one book over and over. Sometimes I have to hide them for a bit till he moves on to something else.

I have my first OB appointment next week. I am really happy to finally be able to go. I wish I'd actually get to see a Dr. but I'll only be getting to speak with a nurse and getting pamphlets this time.

I miss my family and all this talk about going home had stirred up some homesickness. I can usually avoid feeling this way but I have kind of gotten my hopes up now, which may be a mistake. I will be so sad if we end up staying in for the duration of his contract.

Well Cammy's turning on the water works for apparently no reason, which means it's bed time. Good-bye for now.

Pictures From Casey's Visit

First thing on our list was to get some REAL sushi, cuz they don't make it right in Texas, haha.
It's not their fault, location, location, location.

It's beautiful here even on very cloudy days.

I love how these pictures came out. Seconds after taking my pictures it started
pouring buckets on us. It was worth it.

We ended up at a beach in Kaneohe at the Marine Corps Base.

It was a dangerous day to be in the water, we actually banned from going in.

Beach Baby!

Cameron really enjoying the sand for the first time.

Casey, Cameron, and Me at Ala Moana for lunch @ Ramano's Macaroni Grill.
Cameron was being a pill and we had to leave the restaurant early.

My sweetheart on his 33rd birthday.

Shon's birthday dinner at Casablanca's

It was a wonderful visit and I hope that our next one won't be two years from now because that's too long.
